Dan Spainhour has been directing camps for over 28 years. This season he led West Stokes to the conference regular season title and the sectional finals of the state playoffs. It marked the 11th consecutive year he has led the Wildcats to the state playoffs. He was also named coach of the year for the 19th time in his career. As a high school coach, he has collected over 500 victories and won nearly 70% of his games. He also coached at Florida State University and at the University of Miami. He was selected to speak a the North Carolina High School Coaches Clinic, one of only two coaches to receive the honor.

Goal of the Camp


“The goal of our camp is to provide every camper, within a fun-filled atmosphere, the basic fundamentals necessary to play basketball. We emphasize the fundamentals. Every camper will be shown what to practice and more importantly HOW TO PRACTICE. Everyone will receive plenty of individual attention.   • 9:00-10:30 Stations—Individual Fundamental Work

  • 10:45-11:00 Fundamental Practice Session—Campers are shown how to practice for maximum improvement
  • 11:00-11:30 Drill Factory 
  • 11:30-12:00 3 on 3 league play
